Pharmacist drugs robber

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
What kind of robber loads up on controls and then remains at the store waiting for the drugs to kick in? The pharmacist complied with the robbers directions, its not like she was practicing pharmacy or had a duty of care for the criminal. The board would have to be criminally insane to take action against her.

I agree that the robbers actions make no sense. I guess people with good decision making skills don't usually rob pharmacies though.

I wonder what she gave him. Benadryl? Melatonin? <I kid, but I do wonder what she gave him>

I'd guess ambien and/or chloral hydrate

What is the board going to do, say she misfilled the robbers order?

Realistically she prob gave him fentanyl when he was expecting oxycotin/percs and he overdosed on opiates going into respiratory depression before being revived at the hospital. The news isn't always accurate when it comes to descriptions of drug use. I doubt a man motivated with a firearm would have settled for non-opiates.

I agree with Zelman. Ambien most likely or even better Sonata, since the onset is even faster haha

who the hell have chloral hydrate in the retail pharmacy
The ones that get robbed a lot. They label it "the good ****" and keep it in the vault

There are some terrible prescribers out there. My first store as an RPh stocked it.

I've seen Actiq before ... but it was ordered

All of the oral fenanyl products that I've dispensed (hasn't happened very often) have been in blister packs in a box. Not as easy as popping open a bottle and taking a few since you'd have to peel them out. I do agree that would make for a nice swift OD though.

It could have been hydromorphone, oxymorphone, methadone, levorphanol, 7-Hydroxymitragynine, Buprenophine, Fentanly, Sufentanil, Bromadol, Etorphine who knows. Possibly a barbituate

I've seen plenty of transmucosal fentanyl in stores.
