Oh, yeah, these people. At one point they had scripts that looked 100% legit. Thermal ink that turned colors when you rubbed it, scratch off thing on the back, the whole nine. They picked some allergy doctor in Blue Bell, PA I want to say. Always people with empty profiles at CVS. One antibiotic and #473ml of prometh w/codeine. Every time. The best way you could tell was that they used an inkjet printer and not a printer with toner. That and calling the physician. But call their number in your computer, not the one on the RX.

Or, like in this case, they call pretending to be a physician. Usually it was kind of convincing. But you'd look up the address of the patient and it either didn't exist or was for sale or something.

Cool that they arrested one of the lower level drug fetching people.

Maybe they won't be annoying me and the Greater Philly Area anymore. Lol, nah, doubt it. The kingpens are still printing away, I'm sure.

how can you tell the difference between an inkjet printjob vs toner print just by looking at the paper?

Dab it with an alcohol swab. If it bleeds it’s ink. This is useful for checking if a signature is photocopied Or if the paper is actually colored or it’s just printed color background, too.

Edit: see the discoloration and bleeding from wetting this fake Rx:

I have never seen a doctor prescribe Prometh/Codeine 473ml, , I would automatically assume any RX with that qty is 100% fake. The only doctors I see who ever use Promet/Codeine are OB/GYN's.

I thought after 180oz of Prometh with Codeine warranted a call to the doctor.. maybe that was a regional guideline. Also, it’s so not worth it to catch and report fake scripts. I’ve had to go to court 5 times in one year summoned as a witness for discovering fake scripts. ALSO, y’all okay with dispensing over 60mg of adderall per day? That would be an instant call to the doctor’s office for me unless the patient is 7’ tall or something...
