I didn't learn much through my school pharmacology course (or at least not in a structured/organized way) and need some advice on which resources to use. I know people have said that FA is sufficient but I wanted something with explanation so that I understand the basics rather than just memorizing them. I have the Katzung and Trevor's Pharmacology: Examination and Board Review which appears to be very helpful given what I'm looking for (not real textbook and so not too detailed but at the same time providing explanations). Has anyone used this and what do they think?...Is there anything else that you guys/gals recommend? ...also, I remember reading here that the Kaplan pharmacology lectures were very well rated as well (I can't recall the name of the guy that gives the lectures though)...any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Some people I know used & liked this book: Pharmacology Recall, by Anand Ramachandran.

During MS2, I used Katzung and Trevor's Pharm Review and liked its overall approach/

Kaplan lecture notes, along with Dr. Raymond's videos are very helpful, esp. ANS and Cardiovascular sec.
