I am interested in applying for pharmacy. However, I have a BS in Finance but plan to take all the pre-reqs this year. Will my having a non-science degree affect me adversly or be a disadvantage. In addition, I have a 3.4 GPA, but am confident will be brought up after one more year of courses to at least a 3.6. In addition I do very well on standardized exams. Do I have a good chance of beinf admitted to a pharmacy school after I finish my requirements?

Thank you for any help.

it is definitely not a disadvantage to have an entirely different degree, but it is an advantage being that it shows you are committed and dedicated. My cousin just got into physician assistant program at Baylor with a computer MIS degree and pre-reqs. Your GPA is good, keep focused, finish your pre-reqs and you should be fine.
