Many pharmacist's get their bachelor's before applying to a pharm D program. I was curious what are in everyones opinions the best bachelor's to get, I was thinking a bachelor in biology and getting into a pharmacy tech for the studying times then get certified and continue at a 3 yr program. Is that a good decision? 👍 👎

I think it sounds like a good plan.

I am currently getting my bachelor's in Biochemistry.

I would get a bachelors in Microbiology and Immunology... or something that I could use in actual pharmacy practice, like Infectious Disease..

Good point i will take a look at that is there any other areas that would autually benefit me in my autual field.

Not to spin-off on your topic, but say you are a senior in college applying for the next year. How do you communicate you would receive your BS before the following year? Would they just infer that from your transcript?

My bachelor's is in biology and I've used quite a bit of it in pharmacy school. Required courses for a biology degree include things like biochemsitry, microbiology & genetics, all of which I've used in pharmacy school. You can choose Immunology as an elective and then you'd pretty much be set.
