Hey there, just this quarter I got an internship at a pharmacy inside a nearby Rite Aid. Today, the pharmacists said I've been doing a great job and asked if I'd like to work there as a paid pharmacy cashier. My question is how will a pharmacy school see this?

Will I be seen as getting pharmacy experience or should I decline it so I can be seen as a pharmacy intern? As a cashier I will have the same basic duties as the intern, but a lot more involved duties as well. I will never been out of the pharmacy but I'm just afraid of how a pharmacy school may see this as just a Rite-Aid cashier job.

This is my first internship in pharmacy, unfortunately I've had such a busy school schedule since freshman year that I haven't been able to fit one in until now as a senior. I do plan on taking a year break, I may need it to take some lower division classes required by some schools, but I do plan on doing more internship or perhaps sticking with this pharmacy job.

Thanks in advance.

This is a no brainer! Take the money. Either way the experience you gain in the pharmacy is invaluable and it's alot more experience than most of your counterparts. Goodluck in your new position!

Thanks in advance.
