Pharmacy help!!!

HI, I am currently a HS senior. I wasn't sure what to major in but, i finally decided on pharmacy, but by that time all colleges exept USP in philadelphia where pretty much closed. So I am wait listed at USP. Do you think I'll get in? ????I have a 1120 on the SAT math+crit reading and a 4.0 GPA.

If i don't get in I am planning to go to Rutger's, NJ and take the pharm pre-courses and try to transfer somewhere. Do you think this is realistic, or will I just be waisting my time in trying to get into a pharmacy program?????

I know I will probably have to take the PCat.Any thing else????

Could anyone recommened or criticize the Pharmcacy schools that I could get in, in the NJ, NY and PA areas. PLEASE!!!!!

Please give me some advice about Pharmacy????IS it really hard????

Yeah, stay the hell away from Long Island University. Sure, they boast high naplex scores, but the neighborhood and campus sucks, there is a really frustrating process to go through as well.

Try for Rutgers, St, John's instead.

I'm not trying to bust you up too bad but do your own research then if you still have questions use the search function then post a question. If i were you right now I would focus on volunteering in a hospital pharmacy and getting a job as a pharm tech. you have a huge advantage knowing what you want to do this early. focus on getting good extra curriculars and leadership experience too. as far as i'm concerened it really doesn't matter where you take the pre reqs (within reason) and no i don't think you'll get in 🙂 gl later...

Rutgers' pharmacy program is very impressive and one of the best well known pharmacy schools in the east, no doubt

if you got into Rutgers' (Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy), I highly recommend you go there & don't bother transferring unless you really want to
