Hi, this thread is for pre pharmacy students who are interested to visit the pharmacy schools around you to get more information and little bits of advice and tips for the upcoming application process. I myself went to the UCSF info day that was held in Fresno and I felt that it gave me an opportunity to meet some of the admissions staff and also some pharmacy students who can give you very valuable information and advice first hand. Also at these information days you there are sessions where you can ask any questions or anything at all that you want to know. If you know of any upcoming pharmacy open days please share that info with the rest of us. Here are some of the pharmacy open days that I know of in California. 🙂

I'm only in high school at the moment, but do you know if it's okay for me to attend these pharmacy information days?

some schools have programs where you go out of high school and complete the prepharmacy part of the program at the same school itself. For example UOP in stockton has a program where you do 2 years of prepharmacy and if you keep up a certain standard of your grades, you are guranteed a spot in the pharmacy program. The open day has more info for you about these kind of things. The thing is it's never too late to find out about what you want to do with you life next time. I've seen some parents who come to these open days to know more about the school and the profession to see if they are going to let their kids get into pharmacy school. More like pay for pharmacy school.
