Does anyone know of any useful websites and/or good contact information to find our about places that accept interns over the Christmas holidays? Another question, how many hours does the Texas State board of pharmacy require to complete your intern hours? ( I tried to look it up on their web site, but I can't seem to find the total.)

I don't think there would be many places accepting interns just to work holidays. By the time you were trained, holiday season would be over. It can even be difficult just to find a summer only internship, because again, the pharmacy invests money and time to train you, and they don't like doing that if you will only be there a few months (or a few weeks in the case of christmas break). If you want to work over the break, I suggest looking for something permanent. It is totally doable to work part time (15 or less hours per week) and do well in school. Some people work even more but 15 is the most I'm willng to work.

here they email out opportunities to the classes....

what if you worked with a company as suggested and then when you go home (or wherever) for the holidays you could stay within the company so no extra training would be necessary.

Thanks for all the replies. Our school does have a list of internships. The only problem is that I live out of state, so when I go home, it would be with a diffent company. That is a good idea that you suggested though - to work with a company that is nationwide so I could just transfer during holidays and such. I just wanted to get to work in different areas and not have to limit myself, but I think thats the best thing to do for now. Thanks again.
