Depends on the school. Last year when I got accepted it took about a week and I was contacted by phone and got an official letter in the mail. I've heard of people getting calls on the same day as the interview and I've also heard of it taking a month. I've even heard of acceptance emails. It's a very individual thing.
Do they call to reject you too? I would cry.
How should one prepare for a pharmacy school interview? Also, does anyone have tips for doing good on the interview itself?
Hi guys! I'm still waiting for my rec letters, so i dont have any interviews lined up yet... but i wanted to hear about your experiences!
Any details u can remember! Like what you did when u got there, how you felt, questions asked.... anything really. Remember to list that school's name too!
P.S. i do know that you have to dress professionally, of course. I see alot of people giving that advice!!
Thanks in advance!
When asked a tough question, how long is it acceptable to pause for before answering?
A couple seconds. Try to use stall tactics, such as starting to answer without committing to anything (like, "oh, that's a tough question. l remember when l worked at Costco we had a customer who kept opening the cases of Tylenol...") and then be sure your eventual answer relates back to the BS filler. Or you can ask for clarification. "When you say ethical dilemma, do you mean a situation where I had to interpret an ambiguous rule, or more like a time that I had to decide what the right thing to do was?"
Hi,
I just got interviewed at a pharmacy school out of state and I felt that it went great. Everything seemed to have gone well and I felt quite confident after I left. However, I received an email about almost a week later stating that they wanted me to fly back and join them for the 2nd round of interviews. Does anybody know how should I prepare for the 2nd time around? What do you think this could mean? 😕Any help or anyone that knows someone that can help will be appreciated! Thank you!
😕😕
I've never heard of a second round of interviews... how much do they think they can pull you around? Flying anywhere costs a few hundred dollars... that's kind of odd. Must be a very competitive school. I guess you should just self assess yourself. For example, if I was to interview again I would bring a bottle of water in with me since I got awful dry mouth during mine.

I agree 100% about the bottle of water! I had an interview yesterday, and it went well, but my mouth got really nasty from talking for so long. Luckily, it wasn't at my first choice school; so I'll definitely be bringing a small bottle of water to that one!
