I have seen a fair few threads where people are asking what they could do with their previous degree. e.g. If you did a chemical engineering degree beforehand.

Therefore, I thought I would come up with all potential areas to go into pharmacy, if people fill in anything then I will add on.

Different avenues in pharmacy

1. Community
2. Hospital
3. Industry

Those are the basics, so I would like many more and if you can combine degrees together and expand on that, it will be great.

consulting
nuclear

Hospital/pharmacy administration
Third party positions (formulary, adjudication, prior-auth, etc)
HMO (ex - Kaiser & all its permutations & combinations)
Indian Health Service, Public Health Service, Veterans Admin.
Medicaid/Medicare formulary advisors
Teaching (from EMTs & techs to nursing to pharmacy to medical schools)
Research
Technical writing
Collegiate pharmacy (actually - very, very fun!!!)
Hospice/Home Health
Politics & Lobbying (ASHP, APHA & all their state organizations)
Legal (State board positions)
Legal (with a JD - you are a prime malpractice attorney for pharmacists)

the list is endless - well, not so much for someone with a chem. engineering background - but, we're all adaptable.
