Hey everyone

Hey everyone, I'm planning on taking all the science and other prereqs for phys therapy in the next 2 semesters. I was wondering if there was any extra prereqs that you'd need for pharmacy besides, bio, chem, phys?? Any help would be appreciated! I have a degree in exercise science!

depends on the school, but generally, yes there are other prereqs

I have an idea... why don't you look into it yourself... and not ask ignorant questions.

depends on the school and what not, check the school you want to go to

Thanks, you're right I should have looked and I have, I figured their would be a ton of organic chem in there. Oh well.

Most pre-pharmacy programs I saw, they wanted organic chemistry 1 and 2... but I'm sure there are some that don't require them.

Why did you use pre-pharmacy as some kind of put down???!?!????????? 😕

IDK why people act like pharmacy is easy... Like me, I'm trying to get into a pharmacy school after 2 years of undergraduate, and I'm having to take 3-4 science courses each semester... 4 semester in a row of chemistry, two consecutive semesters of physics, anatomy, biology... its no easy task, but so far I like it. At least I can say I'm never bored 😀

Any help would be appreciated? Okay, how about this: www.aacp.com, or www.pharmcas.org. Start there, do your own research, learn, then come back with questions that didn't get answered there.

"Why don't I just kick you in the groin you pre-pharmacy biatch?"

Dam, Wildcat is bothering you guys too? LOL, you guys should see what he posts on the rehab forums..I just dont get it.. Be a P.E teacher with your exercise science degree...You get summers off.. Flirt with girls and female teachers.. It would be great for a person like you. To top it off, it will be EASY. All you do is make them do push-ups, sit-ups, and run for 5-10 minutes. Then, whip out a basketball, dodgeball, or have free play. You can even eat Dougnuts right in front of the kids and teach them values of nutrition (Thats what my P.E. teacher did to me). In Texas, you make about 35k-45k...Im not offending anyone who does this for a living but this job is a perfect match for wildcat. However, it can get difficult at times deciding on what to play but have no fear, use google, and find a site that lists what to do in PE class each day.

Okay, I just finished my first day back at school for Spring 2008. In my organic chemistry class there were several students looking like huh what? then one of them raised thier hand and asked..

student: uhh.. are there any prerequisites for this class ...

teacher: Yes, have you ever had chemistry?

Student: no, I just signed up for this class because it is need in my major

Teacher: okay i dont know how this happened but you need to go see the dean and you have to have chem I and chem II before this class.

Student: Aww man!

Me: Duhh. LOL ! Dummy!

...which means some of you are extremely "blissful".

RobertZ: Maybe if you hadn't been so ignorant in your initial response...oh well...wasting my time. Just glad you won't be my pharmacist...that type of attitude is better served in corporate america...not as a pharmacist who will be interacting with patients who will rely on your PATIENCE, EMPATHY, AND UNDERSTANDING. Yes...I know...foreign ideas, but I suggest you invest some time immersing yourself in those key characteristics.

At least this string served one purpose: Ensuring that Wildcat won't waste his or anyone else's time trying to pursue pharmacy. Another attitude adjustment waiting to happen.

Oh to be young and dumb again...wait...scratch that.
