Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has heard of someone getting their pharmacy school acceptance rescinded after submitting an academic update and having bad grades? My first choice school, in the acceptance letter, said that if I don't get C-'s or better in my remaining classes and also if there is a significant change in my academic performance I could be revoked. I am worried because although my lowest grade was a C this fall i got a semester GPA of 2.5 whereas all of last year I got a 3.7. Please let me know if you have heard of an offer being taken away from bad grades. Thank you!

Unlikely but unless there's some good reason to excuse your bad grades you may fail your actual future pharmacy classes.

I dont think it has to do about overall gpa but about individual classes like they shouldnt be lower than C or C-

I appreciate the responses,, It says on the acceptance letter that a drop in my academic performance could get me revoked. a 3.7 to a 2.5 is kind of a big drop 😳
And my grades dropped because I did my PCAT and interviews in the fall along with two members of my family passing away.
I've searched everywhere online and haven't heard of anyone getting their acceptance rescinded without failing a class, so I'm hopefully good.
All of the Fall academic updates are due tomorrow Feb.15 so hopefully they will all get reviewed soon and I can post my school's response if they contact me

I'd bet the house they WON'T rescind your acceptance. Maybe a scholarship offer will no longer be on the table (if you were notified of one in an earlier phase). Don't even sweat it. They need to fill seats and accept tuition dollars from any possible source which translates into a bigger budget and salary for the fairy tale ambulatory care pharmacist professors that end up "teaching" your courses. You're fine.
