Hi! 😀 I'm a newbie in the process of applying for pharmacy schools and have a few questions about transcripts and letters of recommendations. Can anyone help clarifying things for me a bit? Your response is highly appreciated🙂

1. I know that transcripts should be sent directly to PharmCas, but how many copies of official transcripts should I ask my schools for?

2. For the recommendations letters, can I ask my professors for LORs and have them seal the envelope, sign at the back for the envelope and return the letters to me so that I send all the letters to PharmCas? How did you do it?

3. When is the usual interview season? October? Nov? Dec??

Thanks.....

You only need to send Pharmcas one copy of each transcript for each college you've attended. If you are taking classes during the fall of 2007, you will also have to ask your registrar to send out these transcripts as soon as the semester ends.

If at all possible, Pharmcas recommends that evaluations be done online. Once you fill in the recommendation portion of the pharmcas application, they will automatically send out evaluation requests to your professors. They will be asked to fill out an evaluation form and include a letter.

The interview period for each school varies. Some have already started and some will extend into April 2008.

LORs can just be submitted electronically via pharmcas and then you don't have to deal with all that paper stuff. All you have to do is provide pharmcas with your prof's email and phone # - like a phone number of their office and pharmcas sends a request for LOR to their e-mail adress.

Interview season depends on if you are applying to school with rolling or non-rolling admissions.
