Anyone willing to tell me what kind of interview questions they were asked at their pharmacy school interview. I have an interview on Wednesday and I don’t do well in interviews and my grades aren’t the very best and I want to nail this interview so I can get accepted. Please help.

Unless you are applying to a top 10 school, you will get accepted. Even a top 10 school, you might still get accepted. Pharmacy school is the most UNselective professional school currently. Many schools can't even fill all their seats, so they are literally taking anybody. Literally anybody. The bigger problem is graduating from pharmacy school, and then actually passing the NAPLEX--lots of threads on here from the "literally anybody" people who got accepted, but then flunked out of pharmacy school, or managed to get through it with grade inflation and then can't pass the NAPLEX. So if your grades aren't the best, you should think long and hard about pharmacy school, you will get accepted, but that doesn't mean you will actually graduate.

They'll probably ask "why pharmacy?"... Then you gotta make up some BS but i'm also curious why you chose to do pharmacy especially during the worst possible time.

I don't know why they bother with interviews anymore. Schools are getting desperate to fill their seats nowadays.

The only reason I can think why they do interviews, is to make sure that interviewee is not totally bereft of social skills, or giving off psycho-killer vibes. I suppose they might pass on a student that they felt would be threatening to teachers and fellow students, especially after that student flunks out.

I notice the OP didn't mention his PCAT score, I assume he is applying to a school that has dropped the PCAT, because hey, what's the point of the PCAT, when they take everyone regardless of how low their scores are?

If they ask you what is your favorite drug, do NOT be a dunce like one of my pre-pharm techs and say codeine with guaifenesen (because it smells like cherries?)...kidz these days

Yea - everyone knows that codeine with promethazine is so much better because it prevents the nausea.... duh

I doubt the average pre-pharm knows any drugs at all, most of them have never step foot inside a pharmacy.

I thought benazapril (I think that's the one), is the one everyone likes because it smells like popcorn?

I believe you're thinking of olmesartan. I'm in the camp that thinks it's gross

Yup, me too. If not gross at least unsettling. I definitely do not get how anyone thinks it is appealing.

I will take me some clarithromycin any day though. Smells so good.

I feel like you might be missing the joke? You don't have to have worked in a pharmacy to know why answering "purple drink" is a bad idea.

Oral acetylcysteine. Delicious smell of egg farts.
