Hi guys,
I just signed my life away (MPN)

and I was wondering about the interest of the loan. I am receiving a unsubsidized direct loan with interest at 5.84%. I am borrowing 20.5k per year but since its disbursed only half of the amount every semester, is the interest based on the amount I am disbursed or the whole amount?
I plan living as frugal as possible during pharmacy school sot that I can make monthly payments to reduce the interest and overall loan amount by graduation time. Did anyone do that while they were in pharmacy school? If so, how much interest did you save? Was it worth it at the end?
