Hello all. I recently applied to pharmacy school and got into west coast university and California health science university. I don't know which to choose. Chsu offers cheaper apartments than WCU. I don't know which has a better quality of education and I'm not worried that wcu is candidate status and chsu is pre candidate status because I'm sure they will get accredited. I know I'm going to have to take out loans but which will give me more bang for my buck. This choice impacts the next 4 years of my life as well as the future beyond that. Please give me advice as to what to do.

I'll be honest. Both are second rate schools prolly despised by most pharmacists.

It should depend where you want to live. Most people obtain jobs close to where they went to schools, there are obviously exceptions.

California health school's area may actually have some jobs in that area when you graduate.

I appreciate the honesty. Maybe I'll go to the touro and northstate interviews as well to widen my choice.

Hmmm, there are plenty of former pharmacy students who thought the same thing about their school, before their school closed leaving them with debt and no degree. But if those are your only 2 acceptances, you can't really change that. But don't kid yourself, go in aware that it is a real possibility that your school could never get accreditation.

I agree with BidingMyTime. I'm sure the students at Hawaii College of Pharmacy thought the same thing about the accreditation before the whole mess blew up. I'm not saying the schools you've been accepted to won't get their accreditation, but keep in mind you are taking one hell of a risk. Maybe I missed it, but why haven't you applied to schools that are already accredited?

If those are the only schools you get into, then I would either 1) apply to more reputable, cheaper schools the following year or 2) reconsider pharmacy as a career choice.
