Hi yall i have a serious question iam going to be dismissed from my university due to my grades but i plan on going to a community college to get a fresh start. I know for pharmacy school you only need like two years of school, and if i do well in community colege and the pcat are my chances high to get into pharm school even though i was dismissed from my univeristy.

What makes you think you can do better this time? Have you changed your study habits?

Your courses from university will be included in your GPA when you apply to pharmacy, so you need to do very well in community college for your plan to have a chance of working. Do not start college until you have figured out what went wrong in university and fixed it!

Also, some pharmacy schools will not accept prereqs taken at a community college. Do your research carefully and email the admissions staff at the pharmacy schools you intend to apply to if you're not sure they'll accept the courses you're taking.

Also, neglecting to list all coursework completed can get you in trouble years down the line. It's possible for you to be accepted and well into your pharmacy education, only to be kicked out of school when they find out you lied during your application.

Why is stoichiometrist always in the pharmacy thread talking bad about pharmacy field. You made your point we get it man

"If you are doubting pharmacy because of the job market, or are going into pharmacy for the job security or pay, then know that there are other industries (i.e. computer programming, finance, engineering, etc.) that have similar or better job outlooks, better work conditions, pay that is as good if not better than for pharmacists, and do not require you to take out an additional $200k+ in loans and spend an additional 4 years in school"

It's about the person's choice those other fields have nothing to do with health related field maybe, tell them about PAs or becoming a MD.
