Hi.
I am a junior right now, what are chances of becoming a pharmacy tech, with out any certification, for the experience? Do you know any places that would hire an undergrad? I applied at CVS last week, should I call them and ask if they hire students?
Thanks.

They all hire students. Apply everywhere. CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Winn Dixie, Publix, etc.

I just walked into a CVS, walked up to the pharmacy, and asked if they are accepting job applications. They told me to submit an application online and call them once it has been sent. They ended up hiring me without an interview. I had no pharmacy experience or certification.

I got kind of lucky because the pharmacy manager happened to be the person working when I was there. You could also send in an application online and then call them or follow up with the application in person. In my personal opinion going to the store in person gives you an opportunity to make an impression and exhibit genuine interest. Spend a lot of time on your resume and dress professionally. This stuff should all me common sense but you would be surprised at how many people show up to their job interview in jeans or hand in a resume that looks like the work of a 5th grader.
