For applying to pharmacy school, does it look good to be Pharm-tech certified even if you do not plan on working as a pharmacy technician?

Yeah...I'd advise that you actually use that certification and work as a pharm tech. That looks much better on an application than just showing them that you can study for and pass a super-easy test.

The certification means nothing, you need to have actual experience be it work or volunteering in a pharmacy doing something significant for it to help you.

Why would you pay money to take the certification test if you aren't even planning to use it to get a pharm tech job? Having a tech cert just means you can study for a test and pass it. Adcoms can already see that through your PCAT scores and GPA👍
