You should read the Pfizer Guide to Careers in Pharmacy. It's not available online anymore, but the following website has portions of it.

I'd also recommend volunteering or working at a pharmacy. It's hard to really know what it's all about unless you get some first-hand experience. I started volunteering in high school and that helped me realize my aspiration to become a pharmacist.
