PharmD to PhD Program?

I'm finishing my PharmD in April and starting my PhD in the Fall. Anyone else decide to do this route? I'm interested in clinical research and initially thought I'd do residency/fellowship but recently decided that a PhD would be a better option. Anyway, just curious to hear if anyone else has done this...

I know some people at UIC who are thinking of going this route. Also, they have a combined PharmD/PhD program, and that supposedly will save you some time. I know here they are really trying to get people into the program.

Im probably gonna do this at Buffalo when i get my pharmD in 07. I will get to save some time as some of the PhD classes were already covered in the pharmD program. Its in pharmaceutical scinces adn id ultimatly like to be a professor
