Phd in immunology or Psychiatry

Hi in one year I am gonna finish medical university in Slovakia. I am looking for some informations what to do after study. I am interested in Immunology and Psychiatry(mostly immunology). I would like to know something about positions in Phd in immunology or psychiatry in Canada. If Canada will accept my diploma or are any special test or exams needed(something similar to U.S.A?). Is better to go PhD? Are any free places, is hard to get some work there.... Or can you give me contacts or some infos where to start. Thanks.
