Does anyone have an opinion about how much of a personal statement should talk about my faculty interests? Should I just include a sentence for each professor or should I go into greater detail? I'm including this as part of my paragraph talking about my research interests and why the university is a good fit.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is too late, sorry you didn't get any replies (or maybe you posted this again on a different thread).
I think it completely depends on the program's personal statement requirements. Mine had to be anywhere from 500 words to three 1,500 word essays! Let's say the mean length for the statement is 1,100 words (about 2 pages single-spaced), I would include 2 paragraphs: 1 about your specific research interests and future goals, and 1 about how those interests fit into the faculty's research areas. You could have one to two sentences for each professor, or you could be more detailed depending on whether you have anything substantial to add (don't just add more sentences to fill the space). I personally had 3 sentences for my main faculty and 1 sentence for my two "backups." Although the length was different, I made sure to press my sincere interest on the other professors' work. It wasn't "Professor A --- 3 sentences. Oh yeah and professors B and C are alright too I guess." 🙂
Does this help? Again sorry for the tardiness.
