Hi all,
I am a new person to these forums and have been reading quite avidly the posts on the forums. I would like to seek some kind of guidance with regards to a hopeful career in radiology.

Thanks all for your time and look forward to getting some great advice....

If possible, choose your dissertation topic in something related to radiology. You really don't need to do volunteer work. Try to ace Step 1 and Step 2. Aim for at least >250 on both. If you accomplish these, you will be a rather competitive applicant for research-oriented residencies, regardless of your IMG status.

Thank you for your advice quant...i have been follwing your posts quite avidly, can i ask you for more advice in future if it isnt too much of a bother?
Regards
Quant

I apologise for the faux pas....I meant Docxter

If all you want to do is be a radiology faculty and do research, you dont need an MD or residency.

Many academic medical centers have PhDs on their radiology faculty that do research.
