I am planning to take physics at a community college because it is just cheaper and want to do it in the summer and they offer college physics and university physics. The only difference is that one is trig based and calc based (i believe), respectively.

Is either one acceptable? I'm not really a big fan on calc 🙁

I'm looking at UTHSC-SA as an example and all they state is:
"One year as required for college science majors, including one year of formal laboratory work"

Hey!!!! I am taking physics at my cc for the same reasons. I think you should be fine. Either one is acceptable. I know that at my 4 years college they also have a calc and non calc based. But make sure you call the dental schools you are applying to and make sure they accept the credit from the cc.

I'm fairly sure that most schools will accept trig-based physics for the dental pre-req requirement

If I was you I would check with your school to see if they accept trig based and calc or just calc. If you can take the trig based, def take it over the calc based.

i think usually the calc based one is for physics majors - you should be fine with the trig-based one. you can even call the cc and ask them which is geared towards preprofessional schools.
