Physic Section Of OAT

Yes, I only had about 4 calculations. Personally, made it a lot harder since i drilled in all the formulas into my head with only a basic understanding of the concepts (also everything was self taught since i didn't take physics yet at the time haha).

Dang really, I'm just doing a lot of calculation problems overall and it's hurting my head.

It really comes down to luck too, because i heard some people had more calculations then concept but I would prepare for both. The questions themselves are not hard at all especially the calculation problems (At least in my case). Just dont overthink they're not trying to trick you!

Hey how would you recommend preparing for the conceptual questions because most practice questions are heavily calculation based

If you go on DAT bootcamp they have a physics section for those studying for the OAT. I 100% recommend getting the subscription for it and doing the practice tests. Of all the practice tests I did, I felt like the material was most representative of what you'll see on the OAT.

Are you referring to the practice tests for the physics portion? Also how do you think the practice questions for physics on dat compared to the real thing? are the practice questions similar to there physics practice tests

I would say for me it was 50/50. Some of the conceptual questions require you know the equations. For example, if the force is doubled what else would be doubled. And then you need to think about all the equations to figure out relationships between different values. Honestly DAT bc physics really drilled alot of conceptual concepts in for me. The physics practice banks are free, you only need to pay if you're trying to take the full length practice tests for physics. I personally just kept redoing the practice in bootcamp over and over again. Dont get freaked out the math problems arent that difficult on the real thing, but if you can figure out bc then you can do anything lol. It can be discouraging at first, my first couple run-throughs I wasn't getting anything, but the more you do it the more it makes sense.
Scroll down to the "practice test progress". all of those are free. I'm pretty sure they are exactly what's on the practice tests just sectioned by category instead of randomized.
