I am graduating with a bachelor of exercise science degree in may and would like to start working as a pta, is this possible? Not aide but assistant, I know most places require a associates or a certification which I do not have. What are the chances any clinics may take me? I need a job in the meanwhile while I apply to other PT programs. Also, would this qualify as direct patient care as well if I am thinking about doing PA? Any input is appreciated, thanks

PTA is a program you must complete. It is comparable to a dental hygienest, medical assistant, etc. They are usually offered through trade schools.

Therefore, no. No clinic is going to take you as a "PTA".

And yes, it would count as hands-on patient care if you were an Aide even.
