Another interesting thing : remember all those career paths they told us about in high school? You know, where they went over the average pay for various undergrad degrees as a newly hired graduate?
Well, where did those numbers come from? Does an electrical engineer, newly hired, really make 58k (or whatever it is today) on average?
Just wondering, because it seems like this bias problem could only be fixed by calculating salaries by carefully examining IRS tax forms.
