Has anyone had any experience taking Physics, General Chemistry, and Statistics (or similar) in the same semester, while working 25 - 30 hours per week? If so, how did it go? This is what my Fall semester is looking like, and I'm wondering if I should take on a little more.

Are you taking the respective labs with chem and physics? Regardless, it shouldn't be too bad. 25-30hrs is a manageable amount taking 9-11hrs of courses. It essentially equates to a full time job at best, 30+11=40hrs/wk.

I didn't have those exact classes but last semester I took physics1, ochem1, bio1 and calc1. And this semester I took phys2, ochem2,bio2 and biochem1. I got A's in all of them except for ochem 1 and biochem I got B's. All while working about 30 hours a week. It can be done it just takes a lot of dedication and understanding the material as it's presented in class.

Definitely manageable if thats all your taking - just be prepared to be bogged down by assignments and not having much free time since you need to dedicate time towards material to ensure you do well. Also, it might be worth looking into campus jobs that are fairly low stress, where you could study while running the front desk of something.

This past semester I did physics II (4 cr), physics lab II (1 cr), biology II (3 cr), biology lab II (1 cr), calculus II (4 cr), chemistry independent study (1 cr), and English II (3 cr) and was working about 20-24 hours a week. I thought it was pretty manageable, I got an A- in physics lab II as my lowest grade [hopefully, I haven't gotten my calc grade back yet].

I think it depends on what kind of work you're doing. I got a lot of study time while I was working, which is a big part of why it was so manageable for me. Also factor in whether you've taken any of those courses in high school. Calc and physics were new to me this year, so I had to study a little more than I probably would have had I taken the high school version. If you want to take more, maybe go with a couple easy classes if you don't feel super comfortable with the material in the classes you're already planning on taking.

Thank you for your responses! I'm definitely feeling a little more confident on my plan.

I wish this weren't the case, but I'm actually nearing my senior year, which explains the rush. I could subtract Statistics from my schedule and take the course during winter session, but that would equate to me receiving less financial aid and paying more out-of-pocket, which I cannot afford right now.

Are you human? I'm juggling organic 1 and physics 2 right now, and it's almost killed me numerous times.

Honestly this looks like my schedule every semester. Except I had more classes. It's easily doable of you are good at science and math.

Haven't done orgo, I'm pretty sure that will kill me. My physics prof. was very accomodating to students though and purposely made it a very managable class. If he hadn't it would've been a really rough semester
