Hey all-
I'll be taking the PCAT in both October and January, but I'm having trouble deciding when to take Physics and Microbiology. I can only fit one in the fall semester. Therefore, I'm asking if anyone thinks one is more important for the PCAT over the other?

THANKS!

Definately micro. Physics is not on the PCAT.

The more important question is way can you decde to take the in pcat
in oct and jan and wondering about phics or micro. Consentrate your efforts on the oct pcat and see what your hopefull schools require.

Don't bother with physics unless you are required to take it to graduate or it is a pre-req for a pharmacy school you would like to go to (most don't require it but a select few do.) Good news: there is absolutely NO physics tested on the PCAT. hoorayyy🙂

Actually there are some physics questions on the PCAT. They are hidden in the math section and the test makers consider them calculus. There are integrals and derivatives relating to speed, velocity, and acceleration. I took the practice PCAT offered by Harcourt before I took the real PCAT. Good thing I took this test because some questions did appear on the real thing. You would not need a physics class for these, just get a study guide to prepare for them.

I'm in the same situation also, but I've decided to take Micobio. However, I'm considering taking it Fall (06) yet thought if I should take it through summer (06) instead and learn everything in summer school and take the PCAT (which I am taking it October) with more knowledge of Micobio.

Since the fall semester starts in August, and PCAT is in OCt. do you think that short amt. of time of Micro will help at all? give or take a month and a half....What do you think?

I hope you get a good teacher if you take microbiology. That was probably my favorite class out of all the classes I took in college so far.

I didn't realise there was micro on the pcat...at least I didn't notice it...

I had just taken Micro in the fall semester before taking the January PCAT and it really helped me out on the biology section.
