I would like to apply to dental school next year for the 2012 semester. Almost all dental schools require 1 year of physics. I have practically taken every single science class that most dental schools want except for physics. My question is that can I still apply next year before taking physics and finish physics before I ENTER dental school? I'm getting mixed answers from everyone even school admissions themselves. I just wanted to know if someone is having the same issue?

Thanks.

You have to check with the schools you're applying to, but in general schools will be okay with you applying in the same year that you intend to be take physics. Such schools will require proof of enrollment and require that all your prereqs are fulfilled by the end of the winter term.

I applied without physics (I am taking it right now) and have been accepted to 5+ schools.

Shoer answer= yes you can. U are allowed to apply without having 100% of ur pre-reqs competed

Yes, you SHOULD apply. Every school is ok with the fact that you haven't finished physics (or any prereq for that matter). I just finished the 1st semester of physics and biochem, and still have the 2nd half of physics and physiology to do in the spring. All of them are prereqs, but I've already been accepted to 6 schools. As long as you finish your prereqs before you matriculate, you are in great shape.
