Does anyone think a LOR from a Physics professor is less valuable than an equal letter from a bio professor?

Is physics science? The answer should tell you whether a letter from a science prof = a letter from a science prof.

If it's an equal letter, and they both know you equally well and will write equally good things about you, then I don't think it matters. Some schools may have specifications on who to get an LOR from, but the generally they say 2-3 science professors or pre-health committee letter. I would still check the schools' websites to see what their specifications are.

Though math is a more "pure" study than any science, math =/= science.
