The first two chapters of Caggiano have a lot of stuff on equilibrium, specific activity, etc....we didnt really discuss that at Maryland or at my review course. How important are those types of topics?

Thanks in advance!

Hard to say as physics was a bit of a crapshoot last year. But my personal opinion is that those topics are lower-yield. You may get a question or two, but is it worth it to pound through all of that minutia? I'd stick with "C" on those questions personally..

Could someone please explain X-ray circuits (transformers, modes of rectification) to me please!

How about the end of chapter problems, anyone do those? High yield/low yield?

I've been reading Caggiano, and the qeustions at the end are more calculation heavy. Is the exam mostly calculations or is it more conceptual?
