I took physics for engineers, which is pretty much mechanics for one quarter. It was a 5 credit class. I got a B-, but then took physics for non-engineers. The class is pretty much the same content, but the lab portion is not included, making it a 4 credit class. I got an A- in that one. Can this count as a retake? Or am I SOL?

Sorry. It's a different class with less credit hours No grade replacement.

If it the same course as well as course objectives then it will count as a replacement in spite of the difference in credit hours. I only say this because I remember last year (or maybe the year before) someone had the same issue and they contacted AACOMAS and was told it would count as a replacement. So if in doubt shoot AACOMAS an email.

Thanks for the replies. Same course objectives, so hopefully it'll count.
