Hi,

I got a C in general physics about 5 years ago. Should I retake the class to get a better grade? I also need the 2nd 1/2 of general physics which I haven't taken yet. anyone have any advice? Or should I just go stright into the 2nd 1/2 of physics with a 5 year absence? This later option would save me time.

If you are doing it for a grade replacement to raise your GPA then retake it.

If you are doing it because you are scared you will be unprepared for Physics II then don't do it. Our Physics II class was completely unrelated to our Physics I course except for some general gravity stuff. Nothing significant.

But some of the problem solving may be a similar approach.
