I don't think it would be that bad, but if you took bio first, physio would probably make more sense and you wouldn't have as steep a learning curve.

Crap. At Utexas you need to have about 6 courses in the bag before you can even have the pre-reqs for a physiology course (but one of the "basic" courses is a survey level physio class covering animals and plants, but not a real in depth class focusing in detail on specific anatomy such as the CNS).

I would think that you would want basic sciences first as it is the building blocks to understanding the underlying mechanism of physiology. For example, my brother went to community college in Wisconsin for nursing and took Anatomy/Physio and had a rough time because all he had was basic chemistry prior. He felt lost amid action potentials, etc.

I think it is better to survey the basic sciences first.

physiology is a tough class. i am not sure that any of the concepts of general bio were needed to do ok in physiology, but i would still be hesitant to jump right into physio without some background in science.

I agree with crazy_sherm. I took physiology first and I had to study a little harder to get an A. It would be easier the other way around, but not impossible the way I did it.

I think you'd enjoy physiology more and would get more out of it if you take basic bio first.

Why would you want to skip the pre-reqs? They are there for a reason. If you had a good science background in high school it would probobly be okay.

The biology class I need is only taught in the spring, so I wanted to take something worthwile besides my chemistry class

you don't need biology before physiology. Either or will be fine. If you took biology in highschool you will be fine to learn materian in either class.

I would take Bio first. It will make Physio a little easier for you. Every little bit counts.
