I am in a dilemma. I am currently taking a physiology class. I need a 29 on the final exam for a B and a 90 for an A. I have a 4.0 and graduate in May. My MCAT date is June.

My dilemma is that my physiology professor is one of those profs who makes you memorize a bunch of little stupid details from his lectures (like really stupid fun facts he spits out periodically that show up on his test), which takes up a lot of time, valuable time I could be spending studying for my MCAT. Even if I try for an A, I am not certain I will get it.

The MCAT is one inch deep and a mile wide, while my physiology class is a mile deep and one inch wide.

Should I just say eff my physiology class, Ill take a B, and focus on my MCAT? If I get a B, I end with a 3.98gpa.

I am scoring around 507-510 right now, but I am aiming for 520+.

I am a cc transfer btw, if that makes any difference. I also wont get this special "4.0 award" at my university graduation if I take a B.

Mcat score will last for years, while this gpa difference means essentially nothing. Don’t quit entirely so you don’t get a C, but try to stop yourself at the B level.

I'm going to give lame advice and say study for both. Achieving a 4.0 GPA is something very special and something you'd be proud of for your entire life. Getting a 517 vs. a 515 isn't something that will matter to you in 10 years. I think it's possible to both get a 90%+ and a 520+ though. Just really really really grind it out. Commit yourself for the next six weeks to do nothing else in your free time than study for either of these two things
