Picking Classes for Senior Year (in HS)

Hey your schedule looks pretty good, but I would suggest taking AP Spanish if you think you can do it without burning out. It's really nice to be able to test out of some foreign languages in college. I would suggest AP biology, but I wouldn't take the AP bio test because you would most likely need to retake biology or some other bio course for a pre-req for dental school. If you do decide to do AP spanish, maybe drop out of econ or stats. Do you know if the AP spanish program in your school is tough?

AP Biology 😎, AP US Government, Reg. Economics, Reg. Statistics, AP Literature, Anatomy, No Spanish

I would probably ditch the US Government course and take Spanish instead. Even if it does drive you nuts... I stopped with French in 10th grade because it annoyed me 🙁 but having the ability to take language electives in University is a huge bonus!

I would say your choices are really good, but I would continue and take a Spanish class.. I took Spanish all four years of high school and found that the last year was the easiest, I believe it would be even easier in a AP type of situation.. My school doesn't offer AP or honors classes and a lot of the kids in my spanish 4 class didn't learn real fast, so the teacher was usually running around pretty frantically and wasn't able to help everybody a whole lot.. You've taken three years, it will look better on applications to show that you have a dedication to finish your last year.. Thats my suggestion..

But anyways welcome to SDN!

Good luck!

Take the classes with the best instructors. Take the classes you're most interested in. Really. You'll enjoy the year a lot more. I was 4th in my class and went to a top 10 university, and I still took graphic design in high school because it sounded fun. (And it was!) I also took honors English instead of AP. And I skipped out on AP French. (Instead I did 3 of French and 3 of Latin.) And I really enjoyed my year. My teachers were fun and inspiring and I still maintained a good GPA, high class rank, and went to a really good school.
