hi everyone! i have an interview soon and was wondering on what to do with my nose ring. I traditionally wear a hoop (obviously going to get rid of that) but I was wondering if it is okay for me to wear a stud. It is quite small and not that noticeable but would it be unprofessional?

Don't wear it for your interviews. Know your audience. Your admissions team is likely to be of a generation where nose piercings are not seen favorably.
