I love my top 6 choices. Due to the fact that the RRC hasn't approved doing 6 months at six different programs I am forced to choose. After staring at my list for the past week have decided to submit it to the general public (SDN) for input. Great training at all 6, so thats not a big concern. Also, I don't tend to buy into the academic vs community program thing- if I decide to go into academics- I'm pretty confident that the training at any of these programs will set me up well. Just having a hard time choosing which one...thanks.

I put my residency on Kanye's work out plan and now it's the envy of all my friends.... Anyways all those a great residency's overall you have to go with your gut. If you can elaborate on what you like to do, i.e. big city person vs outdoors. Single vs. Married, longterm plans etc that would probably help us give you an "objective" response

Very nice programs above, but I gotta say INDY hands down. While every place on your list will provide you outstanding training, I think Indy gives the gut feel more than any other place. I can't really think of even one negative about that place. Of course I don't knwo what you situation is but in my opinion indy is where it's at!

Elaboration- I tend to swing both ways 😉. I'm happy as can be both up on a mountain as well as exploring all that a big city has to offer. Eventually I'll probably end up in a medium size community preferably with some contour to the land. Not looking to publish 5-6 landmark papers during residency but I am intrigued with possibility practicing in an environment where some teaching is part of the job description......like EM, I enjoy a little bit of everything 😉.

Anyone have a west coast/mountain states view of OHSU? I enjoyed my interactions with attendings and residents- great people, laid back, etc. Had a harder time gauging the clinical experience. Repuation is good, research is a strength, but as far as clinical experience goes- could use some input. Thanks.
