Pitssfield MA ..Berkshire pathology

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
is it like a correspondence type program?

It's Pittsfield, MA. Although I don't know much about the program, I know the Chair, Rebecca Johnson, and she is a first-class pathologist. She is also very active in the pathology community...she was at the last CAP Residents Forum meeting representing the ACGME Residency Review Committee. She also sits on the American Board of Pathology executive committee.

I interviewed there... I know a little about it. Its a community hospital, so not a very high volume. Hours are around the 65 range max. Residents have lots of extra time reading. The residents are an amazing group, incredibly friendly and helpful. Since its a small group, they know each other real well. They seemed to be well taken care of, they get their own laptops to keep, and didnt' seem to have much complaints. The director as mentioned is very well known and so most residents will get into the fellowship of their choice. The main thing for me was that its in the middle of the Berkshire mountains which is nice if u like to ski, but otherwise, the nearest large city is Albany.
