I disagree about it not being much class. There's quite a bit of time schedules for PBLs and what not. Early in the year, the only courses you will have are anatomy, which will have a few hours of lecture each day and labs in th afternoon. During this time, you will have a patient interviewing course once a weekfor 3 hours, the day depending on which PBL group you're in. After this is biochem, which has quite a few 8 am -4 pm Wednesdays that are a total drag.
Things chill out after that for a while, but the last blocks of courses, Infectious Disease/Hematology/Oncology/Musculoskeletal have tons of class time associated with them. A lot of free afternoons are taken up by ambulatory care, behavior and medicine, medical law, and ethics courses. All of these have PBLs that you have to attend.
In general, days begin between 8 and 9 am with one afternoon free each week, and sometimes two. The PBLs are what eat up so much time.
