I was wondering if any Pitt students could post their thoughts about the strength of the clinical curriculum. Do you feel Pitt is preparing you well for general dentistry and/or to specialize? Anything you don't like about the clinical education at Pitt? Thanks.

As a Pitt grad from 30 years ago I am interested also considering a few of my classmates
are faculty.

I'm a Pitt grad of a few years ago. Clinical curriculum was good and gave a great foundation for general dentistry. The clinical curriculum was very, very good for a start. I felt like I did enough in the clinic to feel comfortable in my skills, but I wanted more training to give me a more advanced skillset. So a GPR filled in the blanks I had after graduation. And now, continuous CE and a fantastic mentor in my current associateship has made my transition into the real world very smooth.

If you (or anyone) would like to PM me, I'd be more then happy to answer any questions you might have more in depth.
