I'm attending pharm school this fall as P1. So this may be too early to think, but I definitely want to do my summer internship in California which is not the state where my pharm school is.. I read we have to get the state intern license to be eligible for pharmacy intern.. would it be too complicated to do this or has anyone been transferred intern hours to other states? How should I prepare in advance? Thank you so much.

i tried to do the same, but the places in california will choose california students over you every single time. unless you have a connection or something, you're out of luck. sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is the reality. every california student is an intern or going to be an intern when it opens up. your best bet would be to try to do a ippe rotation in california and start networking for the future.

If you're just looking to get the intern application, it's on the CA BOP's website (google it). There's no hours required, you'll need to get fingerprinting done and your school's seal on one of the sheets.
