I've been mainly using AP Cliff's Bio for my Bio review for my DATs in a couple weeks, which has several sections on plants (an entire Photosyn chapter, Plants chapter, plus parts of 5-kingdom summary).

How detailed is plant bio usually covered on the DATs? Last time I took the DATs I had several plant questions-multiple angiosperm/gymnosperm questions, so now I'm nervous about my plant knowledge!! I feel as though that is not as common as photosynthesis questions should be.

Any thoughst? Bio section is random, but I'd rather now waster time learning about CAM photosynthesis or ferns if I don't have to 😛

When people say that Bio is random. It means it is really random.

A lot of the questions are very general, but you have a few questions that are super specific, and it can be on anything. I tried to memorize Cliff's from front to back (including all of the ferns and CAM photosynthesis you're talking about). I've gotten 3 questions on the DAT that weren't on Cliff's or Kaplan BB. And I know these are the only 3 I missed on my DAT.

With Bio, if you study hard, then a 20+ is doable, but anything above that depends on luck of the draw.. if they ask a specific question in which you know the answer.
