Good morning all! As reflected in post title, I am eager for information regarding plastic surgery fellowships following my general surgery residency. I understand the field of plastic surgery, like vascular, has undergone a training paradigm shift in that more and more trainees are in integrated residencies. I am curious about remaining PSR fellowships, their quality and if anyone has any insight into how this could be navigated as a military trainee. I will be graduating as a military surgery resident, thus I would be sponsored and funded should I be chose for fellowship.

If youre competitive, youll match. They love military folks
What sort of factors make one competitive? I have poor to mid absite scores (for what they’re worth.) I had a productive research year and good evaluations.

I mean all of that helps. You might get by on mid absite scores but not poor so improve those if you can. And, it's just like matching residency...interviewing, letters, research, personal connections that regard you well.
