Hey Guys,
I'm a little confused on the body structure of the platyhelminths.
According to Kaplan, they have 3 layers of cells.
Which I'm assuming is the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm.
But according to DAT Achiever, they are acoelomates, which means they are solid bodied animals w.o any cavity between the digestive track and the outer body wall.
So my question do they only have 2 layers (bc they are acoelomates) or do they have 3 layers or do they start off with 2 then get 3?
Thanks!
