Does it matter the number of schools you apply too? Also what about which schools? Like do the other schools see which other schools you applied to and judge you based on that?

The only school that has asked what other schools I'm applying to was unlv. And the more schools you apply to the higher chance of getting accepted. The "norm" is 10-15

Thanks I just did not know if it would hurt my chances

Nope not at all. There is a SDNer who applied to 51 schools (ridiculous but needed for him). If you wanna shell out 4000 bucks that's all up to you.

No, schools do not have access to the list of schools you have applied to.

In April, schools will have the ability to see if you are holding a spot at any other school, however.

Apply away!

Quite the opposite...

On a related tangent, I want someone who has some statistical know-how, and an abundance of time on their hands, to create a "What are my chances calculator" based on the published admissions stats in the ADEA book. Of course, that would require schools to publish more robust statistics of their incoming classes, more than just averages, like Case did in their Web Address a few months ago.

aI found it beneficial after Dec 3rd (acceptance day last year) to talk about schools that accepted me when asked about my plans next year at subsequent interviews. It actually gave me some leverage in the offer the school I am attending made. Having other schools that want you seemed positive, in my experience; and the more schools you apply to, the better the chances of that happening are.
