Hey guys, so I'm wondering if I still have a good shot in the future to get into dental school so here's my situation. I'm currently wrapping up some recorder at college my GPA will be approximately 2.8 I believe. I'm going to university and hoping to major in bachelors in neuroscience I'm going to quit everything and focus completely on school and hopefully get my GPA up to about 3.5 is my ideal goal I didn't take the DAT test but I know I have to score above 20 in order for Dental schools to be interested in me
Any input???? Does this give me a chance???

Aim above a 3.5... try to get a 4.0 if you can! And yeah, a 20 is good to aim for in all categories. That will set you up well.

3.0 Cumulative GPA here, science around 2.8... rather than post-doc I will be extending graduation for a year to take upper division science courses and to bump my GPA. I am a non-traditional student as I am 26 and worked in the Dental field for 9 years assisting general, endo, oral surgery, ped's -- all hands on work. I have ta'd Orgo, will be ta'ing an intro bio lab, and I have 3 letters of rec from my gen chem, orgo and bio professors. Applying this coming cycle, Taking my DATs next summer.... chances?
